How To Use Crystals And Gemstones For Stress And Anxiety Relief

   We all live in a world where stress is a part of everyday life. We rush from one place to another, trying to be everywhere, and do everything all at once . Although this fast paced way of life is sometimes unavoidable, constant stress and anxiety can wreck havoc on your immune system and your mental state. 

 Crystals offer a natural form of stress and anxiety relief. Crystals vibrate at a high level energetically. When you have crystals in your aura, they raise your energetic vibration to meet its own. When you vibrate at a higher level, you feel better emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Crystals encourage a more relaxed state of mind. They ease tension in the body, promote tranquility and a state of peace. Below are a few of my favorite crystals for stress and anxiety relief

Amethyst

 is a meditative and calming stone which works on the emotional, spiritual, and physical planes to provide calm, balance, patience,and peace. It enhances intuition and psychic ability by making a clear connection between earth and the spirit world.
Amethyst is also great for meditation, lucid dreaming, telepathy, clairaudience, clairvoyance, and communication with angels. It also protects against psychic attack.
Emotionally Amethyst is used to relieve stress and anxiety. It eases grief, and loss, and assists in getting rid of addictions and compulsive destructive behavior.
Physically Amethyst helps with addiction withdrawals, headaches, insomnia, pain relief, circulation, endocrine system, Fibromyalgia ,Chronic Fatigue, and all around general healing.

Fluorite

calms and relieves anxiety and stress. It helps to overcome any form of disorganization and unblocks stuck energies making you feel more at ease. Fluorite cleanses and stabilizes the aura, and draws off negative energy and stress. It cleanses, dispels and reorganizes anything in the body and environment that is not perfect. It creates balance by eradicating disruptive cellular growth, and helps with cleansing and reconstructing DNA.

Blue Lace Agate

Is stone with a calming vibration. It helps with anger issues and a calming of nervousness. It is considered a happiness stone. Blue Lace Agate promotes inner stability, composure and maturity, and encourages security and self-confidence. It is helpful to wear or carry Blue Lace Agate if you have a hard time expressing your emotions without getting upset. It also helps people who get anxiety about pubic speaking . Blue Lace Agate is also helpful for new mothers who are suffering from postpartum depression. This is why I use it in my New Mom Collection.

Malachite 

   Is a stone of transformation. It assists one in changing situations and provides for spiritual growth. It heals on physical and emotional levels, drawing out impurities and stimulating the life force throughout the aura of the body. Malachite is a protective stone that absorbs negative energy, releases anxiety, and helps to keep a positive inner state. It helps with healing and releasing negative experiences and old traumas, especially from childhood. 

   After obtaining these crystals, make sure to clear them of any negative energies they might have absorbed before they got to you. Leave them in the moonlight overnight. Amethyst will fade in the sunlight so moonlight is the best choice for clearing and charging.

   These crystals carry the vibration of serenity, and I find that when I use them during meditation, they help to clear my mind of distractions. I can easily get into a meditative state when I am stressed out and have anxiety. I use the following meditation often.

. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed, sit or lie down (whichever is most comfortable )
. Hold your crystals in your left hand (your energetic receiving hand)

. breathe deeply, in through your nose and out through your mouth

.  feel the muscles in your body release and your body sinking with every breath.

. envision a white light coming into your body through the crown of your head when you breathe in. When you breathe out envision a black or grey cloud of smog releasing any stress, anxiety, or negative energy 

. stay in this state for at least 10 minutes, longer if possible

This meditation has helped me many times. I use it whenever I feel overwhelmed. It grounds my energy and balances my emotions

  Amethyst provides calm, serenity, balance and patience. It helps to release  anger, rage, and fear. Amethyst acts as a natural tranquilizer reliving stress and anxiety while ridding your body of negative emotions. Amethyst acts as an energetic shield and helps to clear the mind of self defeating thoughts. Due to its relaxing properties it is helpful to those who suffer from insomnia .

   When I am super stressed out, it alway helps me to meditate with amethyst. here is a simple meditation you can do when your feeling anxious. I always keep an Amethyst cluster on my nightstand for this reason, and it helps with dream recall as a bonus. 

      Sit or lie down in a position you are most comfortable. Hold your Amethyst in your left hand, and begin to focus on your breath. Slowly and deeply concentrating on your stomach rising and falling as you breathe. Envision a crystal like purple light coming into your body through the crown of your head and filling your body as you breathe in. Now, when you breathe out, imagine a dark smog coming out of your mouth releasing any negative energy, and situations that cause you to feel tension. Do this for at least 10 minutes. You will fell better almost immediately.

Amethyst for Grief and Depression

   Amethyst is an amazing stone for grief and depression because it can show you how to let go of control, and trust, so you may see beyond the cycle that consumes you at the moment . This is a stone of transformation promoting inner peace and strength during times of grief. Amethyst can bring us understanding when we are in a transitional period, especially after the loss of a loved one.  It helps with depression by transmuting negative energy into positive ,and rids the mind of negative, self defeating thoughts.

   I find it helpful in times of grief and depression to keep an Amethyst crystal sphere on my nightstand or in the room where i am the most. I even keep one in the Salon I own for this reason. A ball shaped sphere emits energy in all directions equally. A sphere can dramatically shift the energy in a room or space because it disperses its energy to a larger space.

When a person is suffering from addictions, they have a weak aura, and are more susceptible to negative energy. Amethyst can help to repair holes in the aura, and prevent prevent energies or entities from entering where holes are present. It also helps to identify the root cause of negative unhealthy behaviors that lead to addiction.

Envision white light going directly to all areas of pain, and when you breathe out, visualize the pain leaving your body as a grey smog. This is great for stress relief also . You can also use some Lavender essentials oils, which is great for pain and relaxation.
