What is an Empath? Are You One?- How Crystals Can Protect Your Aura

   An empath is someone who has the ability to feel others energies and feelings. They can intuitively perceive others moods, physical sensitivities, and sometimes others intentions. Being an empath myself, I can truly say that is very easy for an empath to pick up energy from other people. Sometimes it is hard to discern which energy is yours, and which energy is someone else's. An empath can also feel the energies of the spirit world very easily. In my experience, most empaths I know are sensitive to everything including food and toxins in the environment.  It is very uncomfortable for an empath to be in a negative environment. They can actually feel negativity, usually in their solar plexus chakra, which is located in between the ribs above the belly button. Negative energy of the physical and spirit worlds can cause an empath extreme anxiety. Point blank, it just feels really bad. It can make you extremely exhausted and mentally drained. Most empaths can literally feel when someone they are close to is sad or in danger even when they are not in their presence.

   The spirit world is mostly harmless, even when a empath can feel it's presence. They know it is there, but it will not affect their well being. However, a negative spirit, or a place where negative events have taken place can be felt in a chilling way. Speaking from experience, it can make you feel physically ill, and riddled with anxiety and fear.

   Most empaths tend to be introverted. Sometimes they don't know why, but it is usually because they are only dealing with their own energy in a secluded environment. A simple trip to the mall where there are many energies, can be torture for many empaths. 

   Crystal energy can be extremely helpful to empaths. Crystals can shield your aura from negative energy of people and your surroundings. They can also help you to release negative emotions you may have picked up, and negative energies from the spirit world. Below are my favorite crystals for empaths.

Amethyst is a great protection crystal. It repels negative energy from both the spirit and physical world. It is a great stone for empaths because it protects against psychic attack or energy vampires. Amethyst can calm anxiety, and soothe your emotions in public places, where there are many people and energies. I use Amethyst on my Protection Collection for this reason

Black Tourmaline is one of the best protection crystals for empaths. It not only removes negative energy, but changes it to positive energy. It has an excellent effect on your well being. It is a strong grounding stone, protects from psychic attack, and negative entities. It protects against electromagnetic smog, releases stress, and helps with obsessive behavior and depression. I always carry or wear Black Tourmaline in public places because of its strong deflective energy. 

Fluorite calms and relieves anxiety and stress. It is beneficial to empaths because unblocks and releases stuck energies that you might have taken on. Fluorite clears negativity from your energy field and thoughts, protects against electromagnetic radiation, and lower forms of energies and entities. Fluorite helps empaths to keep healthy personal boundaries, deal with drama, and provides clarity and direction.

Malachite is helpful to empaths because it unblocks and rebalances the heart chakra. Because an empath can take on the emotions of others, they tend to have great sympathy for people. They take on their sadness and emotional pain as if it were their own. This can cause the heart chakra to be out of balance. Malachite helps empaths to understand their own needs and emotions clearly, and helps discern what feelings are theirs and what are the feelings of others.

Lapis Lazuli stimulates wisdom, good judgement, and inner truth. It relieves stress and protects against negative energies. It can help to release blockages due to held in emotions. Lapis is a great stone for empaths to keep at work, because it will help to clear your mind of others distracting energies. It helps me to stay focused when I have a lot going on, and also to be able to judge which are my emotions, and which are the emotions of my clients. 

     Being an empath also has some really positive qualities. Empaths can meet someone and immediately know if a person is trustworthy. I have often been called judgmental because sometimes  "I just don't like someone", but I am grateful for this, because 9 out of 10 times I am right. Empaths can use their intuition to make proper choices in life, because they can feel what is right and wrong in their gut. I have learned to trust this tool many times to make difficult decisions, and it never lets me down. Being empathic helps you to truly understand someone who is not good at communicating their emotions. Because you can feel what they feel, they do not need to put it into words. It creates an almost immediate bond with that person. so, as long as you learn how to protect yourself, and how to set emotional boundaries, being an empath isn't such a bad thing. Most of the time I consider it a gift !

How To Use Crystals And Gemstones For Stress And Anxiety Relief

   We all live in a world where stress is a part of everyday life. We rush from one place to another, trying to be everywhere, and do everything all at once . Although this fast paced way of life is sometimes unavoidable, constant stress and anxiety can wreck havoc on your immune system and your mental state. 

 Crystals offer a natural form of stress and anxiety relief. Crystals vibrate at a high level energetically. When you have crystals in your aura, they raise your energetic vibration to meet its own. When you vibrate at a higher level, you feel better emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Crystals encourage a more relaxed state of mind. They ease tension in the body, promote tranquility and a state of peace. Below are a few of my favorite crystals for stress and anxiety relief

Amethyst

 is a meditative and calming stone which works on the emotional, spiritual, and physical planes to provide calm, balance, patience,and peace. It enhances intuition and psychic ability by making a clear connection between earth and the spirit world.
Amethyst is also great for meditation, lucid dreaming, telepathy, clairaudience, clairvoyance, and communication with angels. It also protects against psychic attack.
Emotionally Amethyst is used to relieve stress and anxiety. It eases grief, and loss, and assists in getting rid of addictions and compulsive destructive behavior.
Physically Amethyst helps with addiction withdrawals, headaches, insomnia, pain relief, circulation, endocrine system, Fibromyalgia ,Chronic Fatigue, and all around general healing.

Fluorite

calms and relieves anxiety and stress. It helps to overcome any form of disorganization and unblocks stuck energies making you feel more at ease. Fluorite cleanses and stabilizes the aura, and draws off negative energy and stress. It cleanses, dispels and reorganizes anything in the body and environment that is not perfect. It creates balance by eradicating disruptive cellular growth, and helps with cleansing and reconstructing DNA.

Blue Lace Agate

Is stone with a calming vibration. It helps with anger issues and a calming of nervousness. It is considered a happiness stone. Blue Lace Agate promotes inner stability, composure and maturity, and encourages security and self-confidence. It is helpful to wear or carry Blue Lace Agate if you have a hard time expressing your emotions without getting upset. It also helps people who get anxiety about pubic speaking . Blue Lace Agate is also helpful for new mothers who are suffering from postpartum depression. This is why I use it in my New Mom Collection.

Malachite 

   Is a stone of transformation. It assists one in changing situations and provides for spiritual growth. It heals on physical and emotional levels, drawing out impurities and stimulating the life force throughout the aura of the body. Malachite is a protective stone that absorbs negative energy, releases anxiety, and helps to keep a positive inner state. It helps with healing and releasing negative experiences and old traumas, especially from childhood. 

   After obtaining these crystals, make sure to clear them of any negative energies they might have absorbed before they got to you. Leave them in the moonlight overnight. Amethyst will fade in the sunlight so moonlight is the best choice for clearing and charging.

   These crystals carry the vibration of serenity, and I find that when I use them during meditation, they help to clear my mind of distractions. I can easily get into a meditative state when I am stressed out and have anxiety. I use the following meditation often.

. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed, sit or lie down (whichever is most comfortable )
. Hold your crystals in your left hand (your energetic receiving hand)

. breathe deeply, in through your nose and out through your mouth

.  feel the muscles in your body release and your body sinking with every breath.

. envision a white light coming into your body through the crown of your head when you breathe in. When you breathe out envision a black or grey cloud of smog releasing any stress, anxiety, or negative energy 

. stay in this state for at least 10 minutes, longer if possible

This meditation has helped me many times. I use it whenever I feel overwhelmed. It grounds my energy and balances my emotions

Crystals and gemstones are a part of my everyday life. I have them in every room of my home, the salon I own, In my car, and I wear them on jewelry every day. I truly believe in the power of crystals and their ability to enhance your life, protect your energetic field, and manifest your desires. 

   You vibrate at a certain level depending on your mental and physical state . Crystals vibrate at a different levels, and when you have them in your auric or energy field they raise your vibration to meet its own. They coincide with your energy centers called Chakras. 2. Kyanite 

Kyanite is a very high vibrational stone. It does not hold negative energy, so it never needs to be cleared . I own so many crystals, that sometimes it's hard to clear them all of energy they might acquire, but I I always know I can use kyanite as my go to crystal. Kyanite is a great crystal to keep on or near you. It has the amazing ability to align and unblock all your chakras. I find that it vibrates at such a high frequency, that when I meditate with it, or have it on me, my intuition is always spot on. Kyanite can also be used for telepathy, if you and another person both own a piece. It is also a great stone for pain relief.I use it on my Chronic Pain Collection for this reason. If I place a piece on my forehead when I have a migraine, It's gone within a half hour.

3. Amethyst

Amethyst has so many uses, I actually use it 3 of my jewelry collections. Stress and Anxiety, Protection, and Give Me Strength. It relieves Stress and Anxiety, and provides calmness patience. It helps with releasing anger and fear driven emotions. Amethyst can show us how to let go and trust, so we can see beyond thy cycle that consumes us. This is a stone of transformation, promoting inner peace and strength in times of grief and depression. Amethyst is also an amazing crystal for psychic protection.  It also helps with addictions and repairing holes in our aura. I always keep an Amethyst sphere on my nightstand , because it relaxes my mind. I often will hold a piece in my left hand during meditation when i am anxious or stressed.

4. Rose Quartz

Rose quartz is a must have for attracting love, your soulmate, or when you need to learn how to truly love yourself. Which is why I use it on my Soulmate Collection. I must say, every time I have met someone whom I have had a long relationship with, I have been carrying or wearing Rose Quartz. Its nurturing vibration teaches us to mother ourselves, and to have self compassion. It helps transmute heavy, sorrowful energies into a lighter, positive energy. Rose quartz unblocks your heart chakra, and helps you let go of self sabotaging beliefs, which is a must to attract and keep love. It  Soothes the emotions and helps keep peace. It provides a sense of self-worth and strength to endure painful situations. It promotes harmony and balance through emotional detachment. Jade is an excellent stone for recovery after a traumatic experience. I use it on my Give Me Strength Collection for this reason.

6. Citrine

Citrine is a crystal of happiness. It is also another crystal that holds no negative energy and emits large amounts of positive energy. It serves as a reminder to be in the now. It encourages you to maintain a positive state of mind to attract everything you want in life. Which is why I use Citrine on my Pure Joy Collection. Citrine is often called the Merchant Stone, this stone increases cash flow and teaches us to attract and keep wealth, prosperity, and success by removing negative energy and raising your vibration. I keep a piece of Citrine in the cash drawer at the salon I own. I use it on my Prosperity and Abundance Collection.

7. Selenite

Selenite is one of my favorite crystals in which I use to cut energetic cords or ties with people. Energetic cords are psychic attachments or energetic ties of invisible energy between two people or a past situations that hold a strong emotional pull with another person. These same cords have a way of keeping things and people in your energetic field that you no longer want in your life .  Selenite is a highly protective stone. It acts to shield our aura from outside influences . I actually own a 1.5 foot selenite tower. I will write a person's name on a piece of paper. I then take my selenite stick or tower and place it on top of it. You can also carry a tumbled stone with you, or hold it in your left hand during meditation. This will ensure the energy cords stay cut and will prevent future attachments. Selenite is another crystal that does not need to be cleared . You can actually clear other crystals with it. 8. Moonstone

Moonstone has always been a crystal that has fascinated me. With its gleaming iridescent flash and reflection of light, I almost feel like it draws you into its own mystical world. Moonstone can be white, peach, or grey, However I choose to put white Rainbow Moonstone on my jewelry because I love the way its energy radiates, not to mention it's beautiful! It is is a stone for new beginnings, inner growth, and strength. It soothes emotional instability, and stabilizes emotions providing calmness. Rainbow Moonstone provides psychic protection, and aids in lucid dreaming, and acts as a prism,diffusing energy throughout the aura. It enhances intuition, promotes inspiration, success, and good fortune in love and business matters. It aids in digestion, eliminates toxins, and fluid retention. It alleviates degenerative conditions of the skin, hair, and eyes. I will say that Moonstone is my all time favorite crystal for fertility and hormonal balance. It powerfully affects the female reproductive system, enhancing fertility and promoting a healthy pregnancy. 9. Apophyllite 

Apophyllite stones are super powerful. They aid you to become spiritually uplifted. It helps you to release negative energy, stress, anxiety, and tension. It aids you to be happier, calmer, and more at peace, while giving you energetic balance and infusing your auric field with high vibrational energy from the spiritual and angelic realms. These crystals will stimulate and clear the Third Eye Chakra, intensifying your inner vision, psychic ability, and clearing any blockages in the crown chakra. I wear an apophyllite point or use it as a dowsing pendulum whenever I need intuitive answers to questions from my guides. This stone is excellent for clarity of thought and self love. 10. Shungite

Shungite is without a doubt my #1 recommendation. It is my favorite crystal for so many reasons. It is a MUST have in 2017! Shungite is said to calm and relax anyone using or near it. This is due to its protective energies and rejection of negative energy. It provides shielding and protection from EMF electromagnetic radiation . It is the only known natural material known to contain fullerenes, which are powerful anti-oxidants. It is said to absorb and eliminate anything that is a health hazard to human life, and it has active metaphysical properties with strong healing powers. Shungite can even purify water ! I use a large pitcher with Shungite chips and let the stones clear and infuse the water with healing energy. Shungite  infuses your auric field with light,dispels negative energy, and it allows only positive and beneficial energy to reach you. It is such a powerful crystal, that it even measures on an OHM meter .It also alleviates a wide variety of physical complaints such as heart difficulty, allergies, skin diseases, arthritis, hair and skin rejuvenation.
